Michael’s Mission:

In alignment with the principles of Emerald Investment Partners, Michael does not believe that simply diversifying among several asset classes and periodically rebalancing protects your portfolio from significant downturns optimizes investment returns. Stock prices are determined in the same way as all other free market prices, by the law of supply and demand. Michael’s approach uses technical analysis to identify asset classes that are exhibiting strong (and weak) demand. He tilts portfolios toward areas of strength and reduces exposure to asset classes that are exhibiting weak demand.

Why Emerald:

Fee-Based Structure

Emerald uses a fee-based structure, meaning that we only charge for services rendered. He does not charge commissions for the sale of financial products, thus eliminating the conflicts of interest inherent of such an arrangement. Fee-only financial planning places the focus of the client relationship where it should be: providing unbiased advice that is in your best interest.

Rules-based Allocation

Emerald's dynamic asset allocation process brings together two distinct principles: value-based allocation and trend following. This rules-based approach allows us to build out behaviorally compatible portfolios that drive wealth. Each portfolio is custom designed to a client's objectives, timelines, and financial constraints in the short and long term.

Customized Planning

Financial plans are as varied as the people with whom we work. At Emerald, we are dedicated to understanding what you care about, and we constantly stay prepared to help you invest your money according to your values. We believe that it is critical to spend time understanding both your needs and goals before we provide any advice. Then we will create a customized plan and help you implement it.
